We communicated the unique teaching style and community focus of this West Midlands university by adopting a confident and engaging approach centred around engaging and intimate black and white portraits of students and staff.
Four years after the initial launch the concept is still core to the university’s student recruitment campaign, being refreshed and updated every year to keep it relevant and impactful.

Bold and striking multi-cover options featuring student portraits provide stand-out and personality in a noisy market.
Stripped back and considered copy delivered the ethos and approach (the education of ’the whole person') while the bright and open layouts brought the piece together.
With the prospectus being very well received, we rolled out and expanded on the campaign, across a multitude of promotional media.
Mini Guide: given out at UCAS fairs to encourage sign-up and the ordering of 2020 prospectuses – the mini guide provided a journey through the broader aspects of life at Newman. With a roll fold cover allowing for current students to tell their side of the story before conceptual copy guides the reader through a mini journey of their own.
While the people-focused concept remains consistent, over time the design and application evolved. Over 4 years we introduced new colourways, fresh page layouts and colour images to ensure that the prospectus and mini guide felt fresh and contemporary.
